“I create my wall pieces by layering organzas on velvet, then applying heat to reveal the lower layers of colour. This is then densely machine embroidered and the resulting work is rich in colour and texture.
“Using heat is not an entirely controllable technique, but its limitations reflect our own limited control over the landscape.”
